Arcadia 4th of july parade

Special thanks to the Arcadia News for their key community support!

Calling ALL Arcadia Patriots!

The Arcadia "Parade" began in 1996 when Johanna Boslin and her family planted flags in her neighbor’s yards on the 4th of July. Bud Katz called to thank her. “The flags looked so beautiful, flapping in the breeze. Now, all we need is a parade.” Neighbors handed out homemade fliers to let everyone know there would be a parade!

Bring your creative best...and celebrate those who serve with the Military Order of the Purple Hearts and American Legion Color Guard. Enjoy the spirit of the celebration with the Scottsdale Trombone Choir for another patriotic 4th!!

This year, the parade is dedicated to Tom Smith, who served Arcadia with passion and integrity for many years. He also served his country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He served his community as a teacher, the first Principal of Ingleside Middle School, Arizona State Representive and Senator. He was an amazing person that everyone knew and loved. We miss you Tom!
